day off.

i haven't been on here in ages. well, it seems like ages anyways. i am currently employed, and working. today is my day off, so i am taking it easy. i slept for twelve hours last night! it was fantastic.

this past weekend was just fabulous. on saturday i worked the mrning shift, then went down to trena's place with tremayne and stefan. we got there in time to grab some dinner, get dressed and head over to york univ for zamar lounge. we met up with brenda, jasmine, jess, alice and chris, as well as some of treens' friends. the night was great -there were amazing performers. the next one is june 25, and i really want to go! tremayne, stefan and i spent the night at treens' house then headed back home sunday afternoon.

nothing really exciting is going on over on my end, i've just been working and lounging at home. waiting to get some money so i can do some stuff. and also waiting for the weather to get WARMER! where oh where art thou summer?

anyways this post hasn't been very interesting, so i'll end it here for now. i'll check in with ya'll later.

what i have been up to...

i am finally employed. by none other than the fine canadian establishment of tim hortons. whooo! i start work monday - here comes the dinero! :)

i went to t.o. yesterday with treens, tremayne and stefan -was good times. we went to the R.O.M and walked around, saw some good stuff. the museum trip was followed by a trip to pizza hut, where we encountered the smallest chicken wings you have ever seen. note to self (and others out there): don't order wings from pizza hut. we hung out there for a while before finally deciding to head home.

today, i went to a worship seminar at church. got connected with some great people and will hopefully be serving on a team this summer! yay!! guitar playing is going well - finally, i have the callouses on my fingers!! yeeeah!

and finally, one week from today - zamar lounge! so far, there's a group of about nine of us going. it should be fantastic! definitely looking forward to next weekend. the plan is to head down to treens' place early, hang out for a while, go to zamar, then sleep over at brenda's house, then drive down to the meeting house sunday morning, and lunch at my place. a busy weekend, but should be a great one!

it's 3:06pm. do you know where your cheese is?

i could eat chevre till the goats come home.

on another note - i have a question: if you lost your cheese, would you know where it was?

*context: my mom, bro and i were coming back home after a gruelling morning of rejection after rejection, also known as job hunting. we parked in the back parking lot of our building and as i stepped out of the car i saw a block of cheese - a new block, fully wrapped - just lying on the pavement. someone had lost their cheese. do they know they lost it? did they think that they just forgot it at the supermarket? are they questioning their sanity? my mom thought we would take it to the condo office so that it could be picked up by the rightful owner, but on second thought - i mean, would they really know if they lost it? or where they lost it? we decided they wouldn't. needless to say, we are now in possession of a new block of marble cheese.

long time no post

wow, so this is definitely long overdue. so much has happened since the last post.

i lived it up in kingston during my last few days, spending time with friends as much as i could. i came home last week monday. parents came tuesday night. thursday i went to see about a job at starbucks. friday evening we left home and headed to quebec city. we stopped overnight in cornwall since we left home late on friday. saturday we resumed our journey and got into levis - our final destination (it's across the river from que. city). sunday we went to church - all in french. quite an experience! for lunch, a lady in the church invited us to her house (she knows my brother and thought it would be nice to have us over). i have officially met the CUTEST family in the world. the lady and her husband have ten kids. yes. ten. and they are all friendly and so helpful to one another. and the parents are SO nice! we hung out in levis for the rest of the days until yesterday when we left, determined to get back home before 9pm. we succeeded. i got home and found out i didn't get the job at starbucks... dang. so now i'm on the hunt for a job. gahhh. i went to some places today, saw some postings and plan to pursue them tomorrow.

i have rearranged my room at home to accomodate my keyboard, guitar and computer - and it is now simply fabulous. i love it. all that moving however has caused soreness in my trapezius and subsequent shoulder muscles. i need a massage.
